<text> Welcome to the MasterScript! Working ModelThis stack is used to install a Working Model (demo) of MasterScript. See the "About MasterScript 1.0" stack for a description of MasterScript and what it can do for you. This Working Model version has the following limitations:‚Ä¢ Cut, Copy, and Paste (and related operations) are disabled‚Ä¢ Saving and Printing are disabled‚Ä¢ The interface to CompileIt! is disabled‚Ä¢ The Externals Monitor module is not included‚Ä¢ The Variables will only display a small number variables, expressions, and watchpoints‚Ä¢ The Messages Monitor will only display a small number of messagesBefore you install the MasterScript working model, you should refer to the stack "About MasterScript 1.0" which should have been enclosed in the same archive (an archive is a set of compressed files) as this installer stack (or on the same disk depending upon how you received this stack). The "About MasterScript 1.0" stack documents MasterScript's features and provides ordering information for the full version. If for some reason the "About MasterScript 1.0" stack was not included, you can call Heizer Software at 510-943-7667 or look on most popular online services for the complete set of MasterScript working model files. In order for MasterScript to operate, it must install three resources into your copy of the HyperCard application. The three resources, an XCMD, a WDEF, and a DIR#, are added by the "Install MasterScript" button above. All three resources will be removed by the "Remove MasterScript" button above. Some virus detection programs may report this installation as suspicious behavior - if your virus software complains, don't worry, it's safe to allow MasterScript to continue. After installing or removing MasterScript, you will need to quit HyperCard for the changes to take effect.A folder entitled "MasterScript‚Ñ¢.Demo Δí" contains all of the files that MasterScript requires. This folder must be on a mounted volume (like a hard disk) in order to run the program. If MasterScript can't find the files it needs to operate, it will prompt you to located them. You can ensure that MasterScript finds its files without asking you if you place the "MasterScript‚Ñ¢.Demo Δí" into the same folder as your copy of HyperCard.Once you have installed MasterScript and have ensured that the "MasterScript‚Ñ¢.Demo Δí" folder is available, you can activate it by showing the message box (command-m) and typing "MasterScript" followed by a return. MasterScript will then either open its windows, or prompt you for the location of its files if it can't find them.To switch back to HyperCard's normal script editor, choose "Exit MasterScript" from the MasterScript menu at any time.MasterScript is a powerful tool with many features that are not obvious in a demo without full documention. For example, most of MasterScript's visible features can be controlled with HyperTalk scripts, many more features are only available from scripts. You can see some examples of scripts which control MasterScript by looking at the files in the "Scripts" folder within the "MasterScript‚Ñ¢.Demo Δí" folder. MasterScript comes with a 200 page manual documenting these features so if you don't see something you need in this working model version, it is quite possible that it is available in the full version. We hope you enjoy this preview of MasterScript and that it answers all of your questions about the full version of the product. If you have additional questions, or if you need help installing or using the Working Model, please call us at 510-943-7667MasterScript ¬©Copyright 1990-92 Soliloquy Software, Inc.
